Josh Points Teaching Professional
Background Information
Josh is in his sixth season at Raleigh Country Club. Prior to joining the Raleigh CC staff, Josh spent five seasons working for Jim McLean in Miami, Florida at the Doral Resort and Spa.
Originally from Roanoke, VA, Josh is a 1996 graduate of the Woodberry Forest School in Virginia. In 2000, Josh received his BA from the University of Virginia and is currently working on his MBA at UNC-Chapel Hill. While at the Jim McLean School, Josh spent a year working as Jim’s personal assistant. This allowed him an active role in every clinic, golf school, and private lesson that Jim taught. Also, Josh was responsible for helping Jim with several writing projects which included a cover piece on Tiger Woods for Golf World. In February 2006, Josh spoke on behalf of Jim McLean at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Currently, Josh works with players competing at all levels. Garth Mulory and Carl Pettersson are two players to watch this year on the PGA Tour. Graham Banister secured his playing privileges on the Senior European Tour. Martin Ureta, who represented Chile in the World Cup in 2009, continues to pursue his dream of playing on the PGA Tour. Also, Josh is working with players competing at the collegiate and junior level.

Student Success
Ryan Heisey Wins North Carolina Amateur!

Ryan recently graduated from UNC-Greensboro and set an all time scoring record in his victory. I have worked with Ryan for over 6 years and couldn't be happier for him. He is a great young man and proud of all is hard work.
Rubin Wins Twin States Junior Girls Championship

I started working with Taelor in the spring of this year. She already had a great swing, attitude, and work ethic. Glad I could help and great to see her win.
Pettersson Wins Canadian Open

About a year ago, Carl was in the midst of his first slump. A mutual friend suggested he come see me and we started working on his game. He has continued to improve over the course of the year culminating with his victory at the Canadian Open. One of the great guys in golf and glad to see he is back.
